THE TAN IS BACK
At St. Tropez we’re always looking for new ways to finish the skin, as self tan isn’t simply ‘one colour suits all’. With this in mind, we’ve been working behind the scenes at London Fashion Week with key designers to help shape and define the skin finish trends for the season.
Inspired by 1990s Versace campaigns and showcased on catwalk muses at Louise Goldin S/S 2010, the tan is back with a vengeance and St. Tropez is one step ahead with a choice of deeper, more modern looks – including ‘Tan Lines,’ ‘the 3D Tan’ and ‘Festival SOS Tan’. The common theme running throughout all the major fashion house’s advertising campaigns this summer is tanned, toned skin.
From the teasing Tom Ford campaign, which celebrates the tan line, the sultry and sophisticated Mediterranean tan from Gucci, the glossy beach look from Calvin Klein to the deep matte tan in Dolce & Gabbana – one thing is for certain: the desire for deep, dark skin.
