1. Choose the product you feel most comfortable working within the St. Tropez line.  Choosing the right brand of product is the most important first step. There are several choices of application - The Self Tan Bronzing Mousse, the Self Tan Bronzing Lotion, the Self Tan Bronzing Spray or you can choose to visit a spa or tanning location that offers St. Tropez skin finishing treatments applied by a well trained technician. This is really a matter of personal choice.

2. Prepare your skin for your tan by removing all the tired skin cells on the surface. This can be done by using St. Tropez Body Polish. It will allow your skin to take the product evenly and will also ensure when it starts to fade that it will come off evenly.

3. If you are applying your St. Tropez product at home start by placing a towel on the floor. Apply a light layer of St. Tropez Tan Optimiser Body Moisturiser to the driest areas of your body, i.e., the hands, feet, knees, elbows - this will prevent over absorption.  Apply your product from the feet up. Using long sweeping motions and using the color guide to ensure you are not missing any areas of the body. Do not be afraid to use plenty of the product as it is only the areas of the body that you miss that will look uneven. It is helpful to have a full length mirror so you can see the product going on.

4. Very Important:  Always keep a bottle of St .Tropez Tan Remover on hand so after you have applied your product you can immediately wash your hands to remove the tell tale signs and make sure you do not stain your hands. Also use a wipe to remove excess product from your nails and cuticles on both hands and feet.

5. Keeping the skin hydrated and moisturised is essential in maintaining your "Finished Skin".  Be sure to apply St. Tropez Gradual Everyday products to keep your colour fresh and glowing.
